Currently, as the Director of Equitable Economic Development, I focus on supporting underrepresented communities, providing me with insights into the challenges faced by many in our city. I am committed to hearing from you, understanding the impact of the Charter on city departments, and researching similar cities to inform decisions. Let's collaborate to create a more inclusive, responsive, and thriving Lansing for all residents!

my Three FOCUS AREAS FOR THE CHARTER COMMISSION
Optimizing Municipal Governance:
Examine the various forms of municipal governments and the composition of city council to determine the best model and structure for the City of Lansing.
Strategic Oversight:
Evaluate varying levels of authority and oversight throughout City of Lansing government, departments, as well as boards and commissions.
Inclusive Engagement:
Identify barriers that hinder individuals, including returning citizens, from actively participating, ensuring that residents who wish to be engaged can do so within our city.
